Our Head of School

Dear VMS families and friends,

I am so pleased to have arrived at Valley Montessori and taken my place as 
Head of School. It is delightful to step into a leadership role and inherit the 
great institutional foundation established by retiring Head, Mary Ellen 
Kordas! I already know about the wonderful education VMS provides to all of the
 children served here and I know that we have an amazingly dedicated 
faculty and staff - all of whom are passionate about the mission and the 
work that we do to help every child thrive. What can be better than a 
school that encourages children to stay curious, love learning, use their
 imagination, and cultivate their independence as life-long learners! I 
look forward to observing first-hand the magic that goes in our classrooms
 and sharing your pride in all that your children are achieving!

My commitment to the VMS Board is to make sure we have a smooth
 leadership transition, preserve and celebrate the outstanding programs 
we have here, and plan for the future with an eye toward long-term 
institutional sustainability! I will share more of my thoughts on these goals 
as the year progresses. Meanwhile, I plan to spend my summer and much 
of my first year devoting my attention to getting to know all of you in the
 community!
