World Culture Day

Please join us, Friday October 27, for this annual VMS event celebrating our strong community and honoring its diversity. This is a favorite day among many VMS families as children from Primary through Middle School dress, sing and share food from various heritages.

(Toddler students will not participate in the all school celebration. Instead, our youngest children will gather on their playground and sing songs of peace together.)

Parade, Park and Potluck!
Children from Primary through Middle School will start at 9:00am by parading from the front of the school to the back park where they will take their places and sing songs led by Jack. You can find the lyrics and music for the day on the Music Webpage. From there, the children will return to their classes for a potluck meal with their families and classmates. Each class has an individual sign up list. Check your classroom news or with your teacher for the sign up link.

Please note: Due to the popularity of this event, parking can fill up quickly. Feel free to use the lot adjacent to the school as well as the neighborhood streets. If you have grandparents who would like to attend but may need assistance to get up the hill to the park, just let us know. We will have a golf cart available to transport them.
